As your young dancers progress through our 7-9 years dance program, they embark on an enriching journey of growth and discovery through ballet, contemporary dance and jazz.
Growing their skills and developing a deep sense of confidence, they will lay the groundwork for their future. Infused with creativity, your dancer will be nurtured and inspired by our specialised teachers, who create a safe and supportive environment for young dancers to explore.

Designed for children who are complete beginners and those who have been twirling in tutus for years. Your dancer is welcome to join at any point of the year.

Choose the class that suits your schedule! Each Foundation Ballet class is the same, so simply choose one (but you can do more if you can't get enough)!

Foundation Class
Our ballet classes inspire performance, nurture creativity and build fundamental technique in age-appropriate and fun classes.
Ballet:
Exam Class
An optional second ballet class for dancers who are ready to extend their technique, following the Royal Academy of Dance syllabus.
Contemporary
Explore movement in different ways, developing physical skills on the floor, moving through space and with different rhythms. Students are encouraged and supported to express their creativity and individuality.
A high energy class that promotes the joy of dance through fast-paced exercises developing skills in jumping, leaping and turining.

The entrance and parking are at the rear of the building. Follow the driveway past the paint shop and you will see the Ignite signs.
Located in Joondalup, Western Australia, we also proudly service surrounding suburbs including Hillarys, Padbury, Mullaloo, Currambine, Iluka, Clarkson, Banksia Grove, Carramar, Alkimos, Tapping, Mindarie and Butler.

Do I need to have dance experience to join?We cater for all levels of experience! In all of our age groups, we have classes designed for complete beginners to classes designed for aspiring ballerinas. If you’re unsure which is the best class to try, get in touch!

Can I watch my dancer’s trial class/class?In our lessons we encourage independent learning and skill development, however you are welcome to watch through the window/doors. If your young dancer needs some help settling, we will invite you into the room to support your dancer with the transition. We have Celebration Week at the end of term 1, 2 and 3 where family and friends are invited to watch their dancer’s classes and celebrate their progress! You are welcome to check in with the class teacher throughout the term to discuss your child’s progress.

What is the uniform? What do I wear to a free trial lesson?We have a uniform list that will be provided to you upon enrollment. All of our uniforms can be purchased at our local dance wear stores. For a trial lesson, for dancers with experience, wear any uniform with the appropriate shoes and grooming for the genre. For complete beginners, wear anything comfortable for moving it (eg, leggings, shorts, singlet), bring socks and have your hair tied off your face.

When can I join Ignite? Do I need to wait for the start of term?Your dancer is welcome to join at any point of the year and term! The class teacher will be aware that your dancer may have missed learning content and will structure their lesson to support each dancer on their unique learning journey.

What happens if I miss a class?We offer make up lessons for missed classes! Simply email our team to arrange a make up lesson.

What are the term dates?We follow the Western Australian school term dates with each term starting on a Monday and finishing on a Saturday. Our Adult Classes run through the school holidays.

Do you offer performances?We hold a highly anticipated end-of-year performance for all dancers! Participation is optional, however the majority of dancers become involved. We also provide the opportunity to learn and perform solos.
